The Business Administration Department offers students many career paths in business.  Programs include two-year degrees in Accounting, Administrative Office Technology, General Business, Management,  Paralegal, or Supply Chain Management and certificates in Accounting Clerk, Advanced Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial, Human Resource Management Specialist, Medical Administrative Office Specialist, Microsoft Office Application Professional, or Payroll / Income Tax.  To receive a degree or certificate, students must complete the required minimum credit hours with a minimum of a “C” average.  Certificate programs are available for students seeking to become employed within one year.  Students completing our programs of study find jobs in accounting, front office management (including medical practices), general management, business fields (including owning your own business), the paralegal field, or anywhere supply chain management skills are needed.

Students completing the two-year Accounting Degree, the Accounting Clerk Certificate, or the Payroll / Income Tax Certificate may be eligible to become certified by taking the National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers (NACPB) certification exams, the Accreditation Council for Accountancy (ACAT) certification examinations, or the America Payroll Associations (APA) payroll certification exam.  Availability and costs of certification exams vary based on degree / certification achieved.

To accommodate student needs, the Business Administration Department offers courses in a variety of modalities (methods of offering and meeting types).  For students’ convenience, there is a staffed open computer lab (A208) available day and evening hours as indicated on the lab door.  The open lab computers provide access to the software taught in the Business Administration and Information Technology courses.
